I’m just not sure about the Breaking Bad spinoff movie, which seems to be focusing on just Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul (Need For Speed & Triple 9), the undisciplined jackass we couldn’t stand not having around. Pinkman was the Yin to Walter’s Yang, and it worked surprisingly well, just ask the 5 million+ viewers who were watching.
I for one would’ve loved to have seen a Breaking Bad movie starring Bryan Cranston as Walter White, and had the El Camino trailer not confirmed the fact that Walter did indeed succumb to his Cancer, it would have taken away any shot the movie had with just Pinkman. I mean Jesse Pinkman is no Walter White and not for nothin, but the title itself was all about Walter White, who literally broke bad subsequent to finding out he had stage 3 cancer.
So, the question I have is whether or not Jesse Pinkman is ready to carry this movie on his own, I mean roll with the big boys and break bad in whole different way. We all know Breaking Bad was about Walter, so what’s El Camino about? “The Path” Jesse Pinkman has to take? Because that’s what El Camino translates to in English, “The Path” bro!
You know what would’ve been cool? A “what if” prequel of Breaking Bad… What if Walter White broke bad & became Heisenberg while being a part of Gray Matter and gave his partners the finger by making the best meth anywhere! Walter can then be the Kingpin of whatever they did at Gray Matter AND be the Kingpin of Meth. That would be AWWWESOOME!! You know which one of three writers would be great at writing that epic storyline? Alan Moore (The Killing Joke), Garth Ennis (The Boys) or Mark Millar (Old Man Logan). Choose your pick!
