Deus Ex Mankind Divided Takes Us To A Whole Other Level in augmentation, not to mention graphics, and storyline… The year is 2029, 2 years subsequent to the incidents that took place in Human Revolutions… The gilded age of augmentation is gone and the mechanically augmented are deemed freaks & as a result segregated from the rest of society.
In 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolutions, our protagonist Adam Jensen was working as Head Security for David Sarif of Sarif Industries, during which time he uncovered those responsible for the incident. Two years after the AUG Incident that caused millions of augmented humans to take their own lives or worse yet attack each other to the death, was all caused by a broadcasted signal. This signal caused all augmented humans that carried the Illuminati Biochip to literally go insane with rage. The chips themselves control all the augmentations on a person’s body.
Two years subsequent to the madness that resulted after the signal was broadcasted throughout the world, Adam Jensen is back, but rather than working for a conglomerate, it’s said he joins forces with an Interpol-funded Task Force that was created to take down augmented terrorists. However, the video above shows a totally different picture beginning with saving a terrorist; the same hooded terrorist in the video that blows up the train station! Another question that pops up is, “Who the hell gave him his new augmentations”??? In the video, you’ll also notice a Sarif Industries logo… Are they still in business? How about those those augs Jensen was sporting? Jensen has this bad-ass gun coming out of his arm that shoots out these non-lethal energy bursts and at the end of the video his entire body turns into a reflective shield! It’s just way too cool!
There’s no doubt that Eidos Montreal has done a stellar job with wanting taking us gamers to a whole different level. Incredible effects, graphics, and storyline. The more you think about it, the more sophisticated game developers are becoming in terms of delivering one hell of a trailer. Pretty soon, Hollywood will be calling on them to work on their movies!
